Ways to travel to and from Belfast

Depending on how much travel you are happy doing, a day trip from Belfast to Dublin is doable. It would require an early start and perhaps a late evening return. But, it may be the best fit for your schedule or all that you need.

On the other hand, you may be wanting to stay in Dublin or perhaps even visit some other places nearby. In that case, your time in the city may be more of a leisurely one.

How to get there?

There are several ways you can get down to Dublin. The best is either by car, train or bus. Unfortunately, there does not seem to be any direct flights operating between Belfast and Dublin. However, the cities are not very far away from each other.

Car: Driving to Dublin from Belfast should roughly take you about 2 hours.

Train: You can hop on a train from Belfast Langon Place to Dublin City Connolly Station, which should take you over 2-hours.

Bus: A bus from Belfast Europa Bus Station to Dublin City Centre will be around the 2-hour 30mins mark.

Tour Dublin and see the sights
